Metering Specialist

About the role

The Metering Specialist ensures accurate, reliable, and compliant gas metering at the Khormor gas plant. This position supports custody transfer, fiscal measurement, and process measurement in line with international standards and company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot Orifice, Ultrasonic, Turbine, and Coriolis gas meters.
• Perform routine and periodic calibration of flow meters, transmitters, and analyzers.
• Validate metering systems against API, AGA, and ISO standards.
• Coordinate third‑party calibration and verification activities.
• Monitor metering data for accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and ensure contractual and regulatory compliance.
• Support audits, inspections, and HSE compliance for all metering equipment.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnose faults in flow computers and control systems.
• Collaborate with instrumentation, maintenance, production, and engineering teams.
• Identify improvement opportunities, participate in upgrades, and maintain up‑to‑date documentation (calibration records, schematics, logs, SOPs).

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Proven experience with safety management systems and basic knowledge of local safety legislation.
• In‑depth understanding of production equipment, processes, and utility systems.
• Track record of maintaining and troubleshooting metering equipment.

Required skills

• Orifice, Ultrasonic, Turbine, and Coriolis flow meters.
• Calibration of flow meters, transmitters, and analyzers.
• Knowledge of API, AGA, and ISO metering standards.
• Flow computers, control systems, and instrumentation.
• Preventive and corrective maintenance procedures.
