Mechanical & Rotating QC Inspector – CPF2 Site

About the role

The Mechanical & Rotating QC Inspector will oversee quality control activities for mechanical static and rotating equipment on the CPF2 gas‑treatment project in Iraq. Reporting to the Site QC Superintendent, the role ensures that all contractual, technical and quality requirements are met during construction, pre‑commissioning and commissioning phases.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections of rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines, motors, blowers) and record findings.
• Verify foundations, grout, anchor bolts, alignment, coupling installation, run‑out and shaft rotation.
• Monitor lubrication systems, mechanical seals and auxiliary systems.
• Prepare daily updates and weekly reports covering progress, non‑conformities, corrective actions and quality trends.
• Maintain ITP follow‑up, NCR/CAR tracking and Mechanical Completion documentation.
• Participate in QC coordination meetings and provide data for consolidated site reporting.

Required profile

• Proven experience in QC inspection of mechanical and rotating equipment on large‑scale industrial projects.
• Familiarity with construction, pre‑commissioning and commissioning phases in the oil & gas sector.
• Strong ability to work under fast‑track schedules while maintaining safety and quality standards.
• Excellent reporting skills and attention to detail.

• Inspection of pumps (centrifugal, reciprocating, screw).
• Inspection of compressors (reciprocating, centrifugal).
• Inspection of turbines and electric motors.
• Inspection of blowers and fans.
• Foundation, grout and anchor bolt verification.
• Alignment (cold/hot), coupling and run‑out checks.
• Lubrication system and mechanical seal assessment.
• ITP follow‑up, NCR/CAR tracking and mechanical completion documentation.
