Mechanical Inspector – Basra

About the role

Bureau Veritas Iraq is seeking a Mechanical Inspector to join its team on‑site in Basra. You will play a key part in ensuring that mechanical systems meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily mechanical inspections of equipment and installations.
• Execute quality control and quality assurance activities to verify compliance with specifications.
• Apply mechanical engineering principles to assess performance and identify improvements.
• Interpret technical drawings and specifications to guide inspection processes.
• Prepare detailed reports and communicate findings to project stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical inspection or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• BGAS Level II and CSWIP 3.1 certified inspector.
• Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
