About the role
The Mechanical Engineer will work under the direct supervision of the Mechanical Section Head to manage the day‑to‑day operation, maintenance and performance of mechanical systems at HRID in Sulaymaniyah, Iraq.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee daily operation of mechanical systems to ensure reliable performance.
- Support preventive maintenance programmes to minimise downtime.
- Carry out repair works on mechanical equipment as required.
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialised tasks and projects.
- Prepare basic reports on system status, maintenance activities and safety compliance.
Required profile
- Works under the direct supervision of the Mechanical Section Head.
- Capable of overseeing operation, maintenance and performance of mechanical systems.
- Ensures systems operate safely and efficiently.
- Able to produce basic maintenance and safety reports.
Required skills
- Knowledge of mechanical systems maintenance.
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance.
- Experience with repair works on mechanical equipment.
- Contractor coordination skills.
- Basic reporting ability.
