Learning and Development Specialist

About the role

The Learning and Development Specialist will design, coordinate, and evaluate training initiatives that support the bank's strategic objectives. This role partners with line managers and external providers to ensure a comprehensive learning experience for all employees.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct annual training‑needs assessments in collaboration with line managers.
• Implement the bank’s annual learning and development plan.
• Coordinate internal and external training programs, workshops, seminars, and professional certifications.
• Liaise with training providers, consultants, banking institutes, and regulatory authorities.
• Ensure completion of mandatory training required by the Central Bank of Iraq and other regulators.
• Support the design and delivery of induction and orientation programs for new hires.
• Maintain accurate training records, attendance sheets, evaluation forms, certificates, and related documentation.
• Monitor the training budget and keep expenditures within approved limits.
• Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, assessments, and post‑training performance reviews.
• Prepare periodic reports and KPIs related to training activities, costs, participation, and effectiveness.
• Manage e‑learning platforms and track employee completion of assigned courses.
• Assist managers in preparing individual development plans for employees.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in learning and development, training, or human resources.
• Professional certification in learning and development or human resources is an advantage.
• Strong planning, communication, presentation, analytical, reporting, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
