Lead Planner and Scheduler

About the role

The Lead Planner and Scheduler is responsible for delivering accurate maintenance schedules to support effective asset upkeep across multi‑discipline preventive and corrective activities. The role promotes safety reporting, continuous improvement and ensures compliance with work management processes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide accurate maintenance schedules covering preventive (PM) and corrective (CM) activities.
• Support station maintenance advisors to eliminate overdue maintenance and manage SCE and anomaly risks.
• Oversee contractor support requests, ensuring quality scope, cost accuracy, resource utilisation and realistic durations.
• Maintain daily updates in O&M tracker, P6 schedule, leak tracking, safety critical reports and weekly fabrication, forecast and contract fund reports.
• Chair the 6‑/12‑week maintenance activity schedule, identify nesting opportunities and ensure compliance with gate criteria.
• Drive continuous improvement by standardising best practices, optimising maintenance strategy and material staging.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of experience in the oil & gas industry, preferably with an IOC.
• Technical degree or HNC in engineering.
• Previous maintenance lead role (MTL or Superintendent).
• Practical exposure to production facilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Primavera P6 planning tool.
• Experience using CMMS systems such as Maximo or SAP.
• Knowledge of project management tools like MS Project.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation abilities.
