Junior Accountant – Bilingual (Arabic/English)

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Junior Accountant to support day‑to‑day accounting activities in both Arabic and English. Working under the guidance of the finance lead, you will handle routine journal entries, AP/AR tasks, bank reconciliations and basic month‑end activities.

Key responsibilities

• Record and post daily journal entries with supporting documentation.
• Verify supplier invoices, match PO/GRN and prepare payment requests (Accounts Payable).
• Issue sales invoices/receipts, update aging reports and manage collections (Accounts Receivable).
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve simple variances.
• Maintain petty‑cash log, prepare top‑up and settlement summaries.
• Assist with inventory receipts, issues and adjustments in coordination with the warehouse.
• Support month‑end close by posting basic accruals, pre‑payments and checking trial balances.
• Archive paper and digital documents, label and index them appropriately.
• Prepare short daily/weekly status updates and a simple monthly summary.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a closely related field.
• At least 1 year of hands‑on accounting experience (internships count if documented).
• Fluent Arabic and good English for emails, basic reports and spreadsheets.
• Solid understanding of AP/AR, bank reconciliation, petty‑cash and month‑end basics.
• Strong accuracy, confidentiality, time‑management and teamwork orientation.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel (SUM, IF, basic tables; PivotTables a plus).
• Microsoft Word.
• Arabic (fluent).
• English (good).
