IVS Team Leader

About the role

Bureau Veritas in Iraq seeks an experienced IVS Team Leader to head inspection activities in Basra. The role involves managing a team of inspectors and technicians, ensuring compliance with international codes, and delivering high‑quality inspection deliverables to clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and allocate work for IVS inspectors and technicians.
• Validate competency, certification validity and training of all IVS personnel.
• Act as the primary technical focal point for IVS projects, reviewing contracts, specifications, ITPs and Quality Plans.
• Define, approve and monitor inspection schedules, milestones and final deliverables.
• Review, validate and approve inspection reports, NCRs and ensure timely client submission.
• Maintain direct contact with clients and project stakeholders, handling technical queries and disputes.
• Ensure adherence to BV Quality System, applicable codes and standards.
• Lead internal audits and support external audits related to IVS scope, driving corrective actions to closure.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 8–10 years of experience in inspection activities.
• Minimum 3 years in a supervisory or team‑leader role.
• Mandatory LEEA or NSL certification (or approved equivalent).
• ASNT/PCN Level II (RT, UT, MT, PT) or equivalent.
• IADC certification or approved equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (ASME, API, ANSI, ASTM, BS).
• Proven experience in lifting, rig inspection, welding and NDT activities.
