Field Construction Manager

About the role

The Field Construction Manager leads the administration and organization of construction and field personnel for large‑scale energy projects. Reporting to the Project Manager, this role ensures safety, productivity and constructability from project inception through field execution.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and organize construction and field teams, directing field effort through staff activities.
• Contribute to construction safety by reducing site exposure via modularization, standardization and off‑plot construction.
• Develop brownfield construction strategies and planning initiatives both pre‑ and post‑FID.
• Identify and remove hurdles to efficient construction, monitor on‑site productivity and advise on improvement measures.
• Provide input on design, contracting strategy and execution planning with focus on HSE, cost, schedule and quality.
• Act as the construction interface from project inception to field execution, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Coordinate with Project Engineer and EPCM Construction Management Team to align scope, quality, cost and schedule.
• Ensure engineering and procurement deliverables follow the construction and hand‑over sequence, leveraging cold work, modularization and off‑plot methods to minimize HSSE exposure.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in architecture, engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Chemical) or business administration, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years project management experience in facility construction or remodeling.
• At least 15 years experience in oil‑and‑gas project design and engineering.
• Minimum 10 years experience delivering oil‑and‑gas projects as an umbrella contract construction manager in a multidisciplinary workforce.
• Experience with productivity measurement and resource‑based planning (Level 4 Scheduling).
• Strong managerial, team‑building and supervisory experience.
