IT Technician – F16 CLS (Iraq Deployment)

About the role

V2X is seeking an experienced IT Technician to support the F16 CLS mission in Iraq. The role combines office‑based and field work, providing critical IT services to the Iraqi Air Force (IqAF) and site leadership while operating in a high‑security, export‑controlled environment.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems.
• Maintain network infrastructure and troubleshoot connectivity, access, and performance issues.
• Implement technology upgrades and act as the system expert for the ILIAS platform.
• Support cybersecurity initiatives to protect against hostile incursions.
• Perform data backups and keep accurate IT documentation.
• Assist in procurement and deployment of IT infrastructure assets.
• Provide day‑to‑day technical direction, oversight, and support.
• Deliver regular IT status briefings to IqAF and site leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field preferred; equivalent experience acceptable.
• 8–10 years of relevant experience in IT hardware, networking, and server administration.
• U.S. citizen eligible for Secret clearance.
• Willingness and ability to travel worldwide, including the Middle East.
• Strong interpersonal and technical support skills.
