IT Support Specialist

About the role

Sardar Group is looking for an IT Support professional based in Al-Saidiya, Baghdad. The role manages, monitors and maintains the company's IT software and hardware, working closely with the Group IT Team Leader and Supervisor.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing the IT strategy and propose plans that improve IT effectiveness.
• Analyse IT operations, set key performance indicators and prepare achievement reports.
• Control data aspects and ensure regular backups are in place.
• Take part in selecting IT vendors and guide the purchase of IT systems and hardware.
• Maintain hardware, software and networks so that employees can use them within the defined policies.
• Diagnose network problems, install and configure IT solutions, and monitor network, telephone and IP phone systems.
• Implement the internet usage policy and monitor internet and email use.
• Install, configure and maintain computers, file servers, intranets, network cabling, routers, printers and genuine software for all users.
• Evaluate software and hardware, recommend upgrades, and handle periodic software license renewals.
• Perform any other tasks requested by the direct supervisor.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Advanced English skills.
