IT PMO Expert

About the role

Zain Iraq is looking for an IT PMO Expert to lead and deliver IT, digital, and business transformation projects. The role oversees the full project lifecycle, ensuring governance, stakeholder alignment, and value realization across Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate end‑to‑end IT, digital and transformation projects from initiation to closure.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, resource allocations and documentation.
• Monitor progress, manage scope, timelines, quality, cost and resources, and proactively address risks and issues.
• Facilitate governance meetings, steering committees, and prepare executive dashboards, MoMs and status reports.
• Lead Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, reviews and retrospectives.
• Oversee UAT, deployment planning, change management and project handover activities.
• Track financials, procurement, vendor deliverables and contractual milestones.
• Ensure compliance with PMO governance, methodologies, audit requirements and stage‑gate approvals.
• Support the Head of IT PMO with portfolio reporting, process improvements and template standardisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• 3–5 years of experience managing IT and transformation projects.
• Hands‑on experience with Agile, Waterfall and hybrid project delivery.

Required skills

• Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid project management methodologies.
• Project management tools: JIRA, Confluence, MS Project (or equivalent).
