IT Field Technical Support Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a customer‑focused IT Field Technical Support Specialist to deliver on‑site and remote assistance to our clients and internal users. The role involves diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues while minimizing downtime and ensuring optimal system performance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site and remote support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and networking equipment.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems, applications, and hardware components.
• Maintain LAN/WAN connections, routers, switches, and Wi‑Fi access points.
• Assist with deployment, upgrades, and rollouts of IT infrastructure.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine health checks on equipment.
• Collaborate with the IT Helpdesk and escalate complex issues as needed.
• Document work orders, service requests, and equipment inventories accurately.
• Ensure compliance with IT policies, data protection, and security standards.
• Provide user training on IT tools and best practices.
• Participate in on‑call rotation for after‑hours support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in IT support or a similar field‑based technical role.
• Preferred certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) or equivalent.
• Ability to lift and move network equipment up to approximately 25 kg.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work flexible hours.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and mobile operating systems.
• Familiarity with Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
• Understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and VPN.
• Experience with LAN/WAN, routers, switches, and Wi‑Fi access points.
• Hardware troubleshooting, including printers and mobile devices.
