I&C and SCADA Engineer (On‑site, Basra)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced I&C and SCADA Engineer to join our team in Basra. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, testing and commissioning of plant control systems, ensuring seamless integration with the overall power plant infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee installation, testing and commissioning of SCADA, DCS and PLC plant control systems.
• Integrate inverters, transformers, weather stations, protection relays and metering devices with the plant SCADA.
• Prepare and review I&C design documents, logic diagrams, communication protocols and control philosophy.
• Supervise and witness factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT) for I&C systems.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise plant performance through SCADA and monitoring platforms.
• Coordinate with EPC contractors, consultants and utility/grid operators to ensure I&C system compliance and grid‑code requirements.
• Maintain cybersecurity, data integrity and reliable communication across the control‑system network.

Required profile

• Proven experience in I&C and SCADA engineering within industrial or power‑plant environments.
• Ability to work on‑site in Basra and collaborate with EPC contractors, consultants and grid operators.
• Strong understanding of plant control architecture, grid‑code compliance and cybersecurity standards.
