Human Resources Supervisor

About the role

The Human Resources Supervisor will lead daily HR operations for Palm Of Babylon, a Baghdad‑based advertising and marketing agency. Reporting on‑site, the role ensures HR policies are applied, employee relations are managed, and performance processes are supported to foster a positive and inclusive workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor HR policies and procedures in line with Iraqi labour law and company standards.
• Oversee employee relations, resolve workplace issues and maintain a constructive communication climate.
• Coordinate recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning activities with hiring managers.
• Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with local regulations.
• Support performance management processes, including objective setting, evaluations and progress tracking.
• Respond to employee inquiries and promote an inclusive work environment.
• Contribute to HR initiatives that improve staff engagement, professional development and organisational efficiency.

Required profile

• Strong HR and HR‑management experience with hands‑on exposure to core HR functions.
• Proficiency in employee relations and ability to resolve workplace issues.
• Experience in performance management, including setting objectives and tracking evaluations.
• Ability to develop, interpret and apply HR policies aligned with local regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field; HR certifications are a plus.
• Knowledge of Iraqi labour laws; experience in an agency or fast‑paced corporate setting preferred.
• Excellent organisational, documentation and confidentiality skills.
• Effective communication in Arabic; English proficiency is an advantage.
• Demonstrated collaborative attitude and commitment to an inclusive workplace.
