HR Specialist – Baghdad Plant

About the role

The HR Specialist will support core employee operations at the Baghdad Plant, acting as a bridge between management and staff. The role focuses on recruitment, employee records, compliance, and fostering an employee‑friendly environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the HR Business Partner in defining and implementing strategies for employee engagement, performance management, organizational structuring and compensation.
• Identify training needs, develop continuous development plans and advise on performance evaluations.
• Lead onboarding and off‑boarding processes, coordinating orientation for new hires.
• Manage the full recruitment and selection cycle to ensure timely and organized hiring.
• Oversee performance management in collaboration with senior leadership and people managers.
• Promote workplace engagement, facilitate knowledge sharing across countries and coordinate Business English programs.
• Run the yearly internship program for undergraduate students and support employee engagement activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in HR functional and management roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related business field.
• Upper‑intermediate proficiency in English and Arabic.
• Strong analytical abilities and capacity to lead cross‑functional projects.
• Potential for future promotion to senior management positions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel.
