About the role
EFS Facilities Services is looking for a detail‑oriented HR Generalist to manage end‑to‑end HR operations for its blue‑collar workforce in Iraq. The role ensures compliance with Iraqi labour law, supports employee relations and coordinates with operational sites in Baghdad and Basra.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with Iraqi labour laws across all HR processes.
- Manage onboarding, documentation, payroll inputs, leave management and employee records for 60‑100 blue‑collar staff.
- Maintain audit‑ready HR files and documentation.
- Oversee mobilisation, attendance tracking, contract compliance and workforce deployment.
- Address employee grievances and support disciplinary actions in line with policy and law.
- Drive site‑level employee engagement initiatives to improve retention.
- Coordinate manpower planning with operations teams and monitor HR metrics such as absenteeism and turnover.
- Prepare regular HR reports for audits and internal reviews.
- Support internal and external audits and enforce HR policies and governance frameworks.
Required profile
- 3–5 years of HR experience with a strong focus on operations and statutory compliance.
- Proven experience managing blue‑collar workforce environments, preferably in facilities management or similar industries.
- Experience handling high‑volume workforce environments.
- Bachelor’s degree (field not specified).
