Head of Human Resources

About the role

Redington, a leading technology and IT distribution company operating across the Middle East and Africa, is looking for an experienced and strategic Head of Human Resources to lead its HR function in Iraq. The role will shape people strategy, talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, compensation & benefits, HR operations, and ensure compliance with Iraqi labour laws.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end HR operations for the Iraq business.
• Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Manage recruitment, workforce planning and talent development initiatives.
• Drive employee engagement, performance management and succession planning.
• Ensure compliance with local labour laws, company policies and HR best practices.
• Oversee compensation, benefits, payroll and HR administration.
• Partner with senior leadership to support organisational growth and change management.
• Build and mentor the local HR team.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge of Iraqi labour laws and HR practices.
• Experience in technology, distribution, FMCG or multinational environments preferred.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive organisational change.
• Excellent communication skills in Arabic and English.
