General Accountant

About the role

The General Accountant will manage the organization’s financial records, prepare key financial reports, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. This role supports the overall financial health of the company through accurate accounting and insightful analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update ledgers, invoices, and financial statements.
• Prepare and analyze balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in reporting.
• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
• Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
• Ensure tax compliance and assist with tax return preparation.
• Monitor company expenses to optimize financial performance.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to prevent discrepancies and fraud.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and guidance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) is a plus.
• Proven experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Experience in travel companies or GSA environments is preferable.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks.
• Proficiency with accounting software such as SAP.
