General Accountant

About the role

The General Accountant will manage the organization’s financial records, prepare key financial reports, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. This position plays a vital role in supporting the company’s financial health and providing insight to other departments.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update ledgers, invoices, and financial statements.
• Prepare and analyse balance sheets, income statements, and cash‑flow statements.
• Reconcile bank statements and verify accuracy of financial reporting.
• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
• Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
• Ensure tax compliance and support tax return preparation.
• Monitor company expenses to optimise performance.
• Support internal and external audits with required documentation.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to prevent fraud.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA) is a plus.
• Proven experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Experience in travel companies or GSA environments preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks and SAP.
