Full-time Accountant – On-site in Baghdad

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site Accountant position is based in Baghdad at the Ashur Scientific Bureau. You will manage the organization’s financial records, ensure accurate reporting, and support payroll and compliance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update financial records and the general ledger.
• Prepare, analyze, and present financial statements and reports.
• Handle payroll processing and ensure timely payments.
• Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and tax requirements.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proficiency in accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger management.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance, preferably within Iraq.
