Freelance Digital Engagement Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Freelance Digital Engagement Specialist to manage our social media channels, create engaging content, and support audience growth across key platforms. Recent graduates and early‑career professionals are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day social media publishing and community engagement.
• Create and adapt content into platform‑specific, shareable formats.
• Maintain a weekly content calendar in collaboration with the wider team.
• Monitor performance, analyse metrics and report on impact.
• Identify new platforms and influencer partners and support relationship management.
• Spot timely opportunities by staying on top of news and trends.
• Use AI tools to support ideation, drafting, editing and workflow efficiency.
• Assist with additional tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Early‑career experience (0–2 years) in social media, content or digital communications; internships welcome.
• Strong writing skills with the ability to adapt tone per platform.
• Fluent in Arabic; knowledge of English, Kurdish or another language is a plus.
• Comfortable with basic analytics and learning what performs.
• Organised, proactive and collaborative.
• Interest in current affairs, digital culture and emerging AI tools.
• Knowledge of Creative Suite is a plus but not essential.
