Firefighter – Majnoon Field Development

About the role

KBR is seeking an experienced Firefighter to support the Majnoon Field Development project. The role assists the Fire Team Coordinator in supervising fire watches, emergency response activities, and high‑risk operations on an oil‑and‑gas site.

Key responsibilities

• Attend meetings and perform administrative duties in the absence of the Watch Supervisor.
• Ensure smooth fire‑watch handovers and keep the watch updated on daily activities.
• Assist in task allocation, resource planning and availability for high‑risk activities and emergencies.
• Maintain readiness by being reachable via phone/radio at all times during the rotation.
• Conduct inspections of fire vehicles and equipment, recording findings.
• Participate in HSE meetings, emergency drills and fire‑and‑emergency response training.
• Support oil‑spill, environmental incident response and other critical infrastructure tasks.
• Act as focal point during emergencies and brief management on incident status.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in the oil & gas industry.
• Hands‑on expertise in all functional aspects of firefighting and emergency response, including oil‑spill handling.
• Basic or advanced international firefighting accreditation (e.g., JOIFF).
• Medical fitness and ability to work in demanding field conditions.
