Financial Accountant – Accounts Officer

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail‑oriented Financial Accountant to join our finance team in Baghdad – Al Karkh. The role focuses on managing daily accounting transactions, banking operations, and supporting month‑end reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Process daily accounting entries and maintain accurate financial records.
• Handle banking transactions, including deposits, transfers, and reconciliations.
• Coordinate with banks to resolve queries and ensure smooth financial operations.
• Prepare payment vouchers, receipts, and supporting documentation.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and monthly reconciliations.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable balances.
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
• Provide ad‑hoc support to the finance department as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong experience dealing with banks and banking procedures.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
