Executive Chef

About the role

We are looking for a passionate and dynamic Executive Chef to lead the kitchen operations at Rotana in Slemani. The role oversees food production, ensures the highest standards of hygiene, and drives creative culinary solutions across all outlets and banquet facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor duty schedules, uniform appearance, and grooming of kitchen staff.
• Conduct regular presentations of new menu novelties to stay aligned with operational trends.
• Evaluate team performance, manage promotions, and provide leadership.
• Ensure timely preparation for all meal services and banquet activities within stipulated opening hours.
• Tour kitchens, stores, and food production areas to maintain hygiene and maintenance standards.
• Visit dining outlets to ensure guest wellbeing and maintain a friendly presence.
• Collaborate with the Director of Food & Beverage to plan and execute extracurricular events and promotions.
• Control food cost by reviewing requisitions, direct purchases, and minimizing waste.
• Implement HACCP standards and comply with municipal hygiene regulations at all times.

Required profile

• Minimum three years experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in quality establishments.
• Professional kitchen apprenticeship or chef training course.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Proven track record in food preparation, presentation, and preservation.
• Creative, innovative, and passionate about food.
• Hands‑on, organized, and able to lead a multicultural team under pressure.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences in partnership with service teams.
