Environment, Health and Safety Manager

About the role

The HSE Manager will lead the development and implementation of environment, health and safety policies and programs for TASC Towers Iraq, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations while fostering a safe working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain a comprehensive HSE management system, including policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Monitor system effectiveness through regular audits, inspections and reviews, and apply corrective actions.
• Promote a strong HSE culture by delivering training, awareness programmes and employee engagement initiatives.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near‑misses, conduct root‑cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
• Collaborate with project and operations teams to identify hazards and apply risk‑mitigation measures.
• Liaise with local authorities, clients and contractors to ensure regulatory compliance and represent the company in HSE forums.
• Adapt emergency response and evacuation plans to the specific challenges of operating in Iraq.
• Analyse HSE performance data, identify trends and report to senior management.
• Stay current with HSE legislation, industry best practices and emerging risks.
• Manage HSE‑related supply‑chain processes, budgeting and resource allocation.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the Line Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
• Professional HSE certifications (NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH) preferred.
• 5–7 years of HSE experience, preferably in telecommunications or a similar industry.
• Proven ability to manage HSE risks in challenging environments.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
