Electronics Technician – NAVAIDS Maintenance (Balad, Iraq)

About the role

Versar Global Solutions is seeking a full‑time Electronics Technician to support the Navigational Aids (NAVAIDS) Maintenance & Repair Support project in Balad, Iraq. The role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant airfield operations for 24/7 aviation missions in a deployed environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and test electronic systems for NAVAIDS, communications, airfield lighting, and aviation operations.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance in line with FAA, ICAO, DoD, OEM, and contract requirements.
• Diagnose equipment failures using multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and other diagnostic tools.
• Repair circuit boards, power supplies, control modules, electronic assemblies, and related support equipment.

Required profile

• U.S. citizen with a valid driver’s license and passport (minimum 12‑month validity).
• Ability to obtain and maintain authorized entry onto U.S. military installations.
• Minimum 4 years of electronics maintenance and repair experience.
• Associate degree, military technical training, vocational training, or equivalent in Electronics, Electrical Technology, Avionics, or related field.

Required skills

• Use of multimeter, oscilloscope, signal generator, spectrum analyzer, and other electronic test equipment.
• Repair of circuit boards, power supplies, control modules, and electronic assemblies.
• Reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of electronic theory, circuit analysis, power distribution, and component‑level troubleshooting.
