Electrical Technician

About the role

GE Vernova is seeking an Electrical Technician to join its Gas Power Field Services team. The role involves installing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems on a variety of stationary engines and mechanical devices, supporting reliable and affordable energy production.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose electrical malfunctions in devices such as transformers, motors, relays, and switches.
• Install wire and conduit for new machines and terminate wiring to connect cables.
• Replace faulty wiring, relays, switches, motors, and position‑sensing devices.
• Replace electric motor bearings and perform alignment, adjustment, and calibration of equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, calibrations, and tests on work order forms.
• Read dials, digital displays, meters, and gauges to verify voltage, frequency, and other electrical characteristics.
• Dismantle equipment to access defective parts and advise on inventory needs.
• Collaborate with maintenance managers, supervisors, and operational staff to test device performance and follow technical manuals and P&ID diagrams.

Required profile

• Experience working with industrial electrical systems and power generation equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and piping & instrumentation diagrams.
• Strong attention to detail for recording maintenance actions and inventory management.
