E&I Supervisor – Short Term (Basra, Iraq)

About the role

Wood is seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Supervisor for a short‑term assignment in Basra, Iraq. The role is full‑time, office‑based with a 6 days on / 2 days off rotation and includes travel to project sites.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise daily with the client’s in‑country team and construction supervisors.
• Troubleshoot design issues, raise and resolve site/technical queries with the construction contractor.
• Complete, review and approve as‑built documentation and final mechanical system handover documents.
• Attend daily/weekly progress meetings, generate status reports and ensure timely communication of project updates.
• Plan, assist and oversee mechanical and E&I work execution to meet project objectives.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in the oil & gas petrochemical sector.
• Proven ability to work on a 6 × 2 rotation schedule.
• Willingness to work onsite in Basra with regular travel.
• Strong communication skills for interfacing with clients and contractors.
