Education Specialist (P-3), Fixed-Term, Baghdad

About the role

The Education Specialist (P‑3) will support the design, implementation and monitoring of education programmes within UNICEF’s Iraq Country Programme (2025‑2029). Reporting to the Chief, Education, the role focuses on strengthening the education system to improve learning outcomes for marginalized and disadvantaged children.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and prepare education programme components in line with the Country Programme Document.
• Manage, implement, monitor, evaluate and report on education projects, especially under Output 1 – Education System Strengthening.
• Provide technical guidance to ensure inclusive and equitable education delivery.
• Coordinate with national authorities, partners and UNICEF teams to achieve programme results.
• Contribute to data collection, analysis and reporting for programme performance.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree in Education, Social Sciences or related field.
• Professional experience at the P‑3 level in education programme management, preferably in humanitarian or development contexts.
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse stakeholders and to promote equity in education.
