DS Maintenance Superintendent

About the role

The DS Maintenance Superintendent will lead the maintenance function for the South Basra Integrated Project, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient operation of the CPF facilities. Reporting to the Production Department, this senior position works on a daily or rotational basis from Basra, Iraq.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise planning, coordination and execution of all maintenance activities to meet production targets.
• Implement and maintain maintenance management systems in alignment with production and engineering priorities.
• Monitor facility maintenance to maximise equipment availability and production continuity.
• Ensure strict compliance with Company Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies and regulatory standards.
• Develop, mentor and train national maintenance staff.
• Coordinate effectively with Production, Engineering, and external contractors.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years of mechanical maintenance experience, preferably in the oil & gas sector.
• Proven leadership, troubleshooting, and technical reporting abilities.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
• Fluent English communication, both written and verbal.
