About the role
The Driver will be responsible for the safe and timely movement of goods and passengers for SAS Toyota in Basra. The role supports the company’s logistics operations by planning routes, monitoring deliveries and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and drive routes based on customer orders, delivery schedules and vehicle availability.
- Assign routes to drivers, provide instructions and necessary documentation.
- Monitor delivery status, communicate with drivers and update customers on shipment progress.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers and other stakeholders to arrange transportation services.
- Resolve issues or delays that arise during transportation operations.
- Maintain accurate records, including driver logs, vehicle maintenance schedules and delivery documentation.
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies.
- Identify cost‑saving opportunities and suggest process improvements.
Required profile
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to read and identify vehicle license‑plate numbers.
