Demand Planning Specialist – Groceries

About the role

We are looking for a Demand Planning Specialist for our grocery division to ensure the right products are available at the right time across our dark‑store network and central warehouse. The role combines data‑driven forecasting with close collaboration across supply‑chain, category and operations teams to minimise stock‑outs, overstock and waste.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain SKU‑level demand forecasts for the central warehouse and dark stores.
• Incorporate historical sales, seasonality, promotions, pricing changes and business growth into forecasts.
• Define and optimise reorder points, safety stock, minimum/maximum levels and days of cover.
• Support replenishment planning from the central warehouse to dark stores and coordinate supplier ordering.
• Work with Category and Commercial teams to factor in new product launches, promotions and seasonal events.
• Monitor stock availability, out‑of‑stock risks, overstock, slow‑moving and near‑expiry inventory and recommend corrective actions.
• Track forecast accuracy, identify unusual demand patterns and communicate supply risks.
• Prepare regular demand, inventory and availability reports and support planning for new dark‑store openings and peak periods such as Ramadan and Eid.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Economics or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain, inventory planning or FMCG retail.
• Strong analytical and numerical abilities with attention to detail.
• Experience managing large SKU portfolios and understanding of shelf‑life and expiry management.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
