Cost Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time Cost Accountant to join our team in Baghdad. In this on‑site position you will support the finance function by ensuring accurate cost measurement, reporting and analysis across our flexible packaging operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily cost accounting activities and maintain cost records.
• Prepare and review financial statements and cost reports.
• Record and reconcile journal entries related to production and inventory.
• Analyze cost data to identify variances and opportunities for efficiency.
• Collaborate with production, procurement and other departments to ensure financial accuracy.
• Support month‑end and year‑end financial reporting processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Proven experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or packaging environment.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
