Contract Manager

About the role

CB&I Asset Solutions is seeking a Contract Manager to lead business development and contract activities for its energy asset portfolio in Iraq. Based in Basra, the role will drive growth, manage client relationships and ensure compliance with local regulations and CB&I standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end business development activities in Iraq, from opportunity identification through contract award.
• Develop and execute a country growth strategy aligned with regional objectives.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of opportunities across IOC/NOC operators and government‑led projects.
• Identify market entry routes, including partnerships, joint‑ventures and local alliances.
• Support proposals, bid strategy, pricing positioning and commercial negotiations.
• Act as primary interface with government ministries, regulatory bodies and national oil companies.
• Establish and oversee CB&I’s local presence, including office setup and local partnerships.
• Provide market insight, risk assessment and mitigation strategies to leadership.
• Ensure compliance with Indian regulatory frameworks and CB&I global standards, and lead HSE culture and operational risk management.
