Construction Superintendent – Power

About the role

The Construction Superintendent – Power leads and coordinates all electrical power generation, distribution and maintenance activities at the Majnoon Oil Field, ensuring safe, reliable and compliant operation of the plant’s electrical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of power generation units, HV/LV distribution networks, switchgear, transformers, MCCs and protection systems.
• Lead fault investigations, root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Manage preventive and predictive maintenance programmes to minimise downtime.
• Review and approve electrical work permits, isolation plans, energisation procedures and switching operations.
• Coordinate electrical construction, installation, commissioning and upgrades across the field.
• Verify contractor performance, workmanship quality and compliance with specifications.
• Supervise electrical supervisors, technicians and contractors at multiple site locations.
• Liaise with engineering, construction, commissioning and operations teams to ensure technical alignment.
• Maintain documentation, single‑line diagrams, load studies and equipment records.
• Promote a strong safety culture and enforce electrical safety and LOTO procedures.

Required profile

• Iraqi national (preferred).
• Proven ability to supervise electrical supervisors, technicians and contractors.
• Experience in competency development, training and mentoring of an Iraqi workforce.
• Commitment to safety and compliance with HSSE, electrical regulations and international codes.
