Cashier – Customer Service & Payments

About the role

The Cashier will manage all monetary transactions at the Sardar Group – Jaguar Land Rover branch in Erbil. You will be the first point of contact for customers paying for purchases, ensuring accurate handling of cash, checks and card payments while maintaining a high level of service.

Key responsibilities

• Enter funds received from customer purchases into the manual cash register and issue vouchers.
• Accept cash, checks, and bank cards, processing each transaction according to company procedures.
• Count money, provide change, and issue receipts for all payments.
• Record receipts and invoices, maintaining an up‑to‑date payment ledger for supervisory review.
• Transfer funds to the petty‑cash box and keep sufficient change in the drawer.
• Perform daily fiscal counts, balance the cash drawer, and document any discrepancies.
• Deposit daily cash collections into the company’s bank account following established policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or a diploma in accounting.
• Previous experience in a cashier or customer‑service role.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Fluency in Kurdish, English and Arabic.
• Honesty, integrity and a customer‑service orientation.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Experience with POS systems and credit/debit card machines.
