Cash Officer – Cash Operations Management

About the role

We are looking for a Cash Officer to lead our Cash Operations Unit in Mansour, Iraq. The role ensures accurate cash handling, detection of counterfeit and unfit banknotes, and compliance with bank policies and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of cash counting and sorting staff.
• Oversee cash receipt, counting, sorting, and delivery processes to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
• Identify, segregate, and handle counterfeit and unfit banknotes according to established procedures.
• Monitor adherence to internal control, security, and cash management policies.
• Investigate cash discrepancies, determine root causes, and prepare required reports.
• Prepare periodic reports on cash operations and cash availability.
• Coordinate cash requirements and movements with branches and relevant departments.
• Train and support staff in cash handling and counterfeit detection techniques.

Required profile

• Experience in banking operations and cash management.
• Good knowledge of counterfeit detection techniques and standards for unfit banknotes.
• Strong supervisory and team‑management abilities.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
• Understanding of banking regulations, procedures, and internal controls related to cash operations.
