Business Solution Consultant – Banking

About the role

The National Bank of Iraq is looking for a Business Solution Consultant to act as a strategic advisor and bridge between business units and technical teams. The role focuses on optimizing business processes, driving system enhancements, and supporting strategic transformation across non-digital operations.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and re-engineer business processes to improve efficiency, automation and compliance.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior management, shaping strategies, roadmaps and operational models.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications for system initiatives.
• Align system enhancements with banking platforms such as Temenos, BPM and DMS while minimizing customisations.
• Partner with IT, operations, finance and external vendors to ensure seamless solution delivery.
• Identify process risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Develop performance dashboards and reports to monitor KPIs and transformation outcomes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in business consulting, process re-engineering, banking operations or system implementation.
• Strong background with banking systems such as Temenos, BPM or DMS.
• Hands-on experience in process optimisation, business analysis and strategic transformation.
• Professional certifications (e.g., CBAP, Lean Six Sigma) are preferred.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
