Branch Manager – Banking (Baghdad)

About the role

The Branch Manager will lead all banking activities at the Baghdad branch, overseeing corporate, retail, and foreign remittance services. This role ensures business growth, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and high‑quality customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day branch operations and ensure efficient delivery of banking services.
• Develop and execute business plans to meet financial, sales, and growth targets.
• Grow corporate and retail customer bases and strengthen key client relationships.
• Oversee corporate and retail products, accounts, deposits, financing, and related services.
• Supervise inbound and outbound foreign remittance activities, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
• Ensure compliance with banking regulations, internal policies, KYC, AML/CFT, sanctions, and other regulatory requirements.
• Monitor branch performance, profitability, revenue, expenses, and key performance indicators.
• Implement internal controls and manage operational and financial risks.
• Lead, supervise, and develop branch staff, allocating responsibilities effectively.
• Handle complex customer issues, maintain high satisfaction, and promote a strong service culture.
• Review and approve transactions within delegated authority and monitor audit findings.
• Prepare regular performance and operational reports for senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Banking, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of banking experience, including branch management.
• Strong experience in corporate banking, retail banking, and foreign remittances.
• Good knowledge of banking regulations, AML/CFT, KYC, compliance, and operational risk.
• Demonstrated leadership, business development, and decision‑making abilities.
