Automotive Technician – Vehicle Maintenance & Repair

About the role

The Technician will maintain and repair vehicles at our Toyota dealership in Baghdad, ensuring safety and efficiency. You will diagnose problems, perform repairs, and carry out routine maintenance following manufacturer standards.

Key responsibilities

• Execute maintenance and repair tasks accurately, adhering to manuals, checklists and SOPs.
• Complete tasks within specified timeframes and report any delays to the supervisor.
• Maintain safety standards, report unsafe conditions in writing, and keep the workshop clean and organized.
• Maintain and return all tools and equipment to their proper locations after use.
• Clock off completed job cards, request new ones, and document all service activities.
• Identify mechanical issues manually or using computerized diagnostic tools.
• Communicate with clients about work performed, vehicle condition and future repair needs.
• Ensure vehicles are returned clean and in orderly condition.

Required profile

• Diploma or technical certification in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in automotive maintenance and repair.
• Good knowledge of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to perform inspection, diagnosis, preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Upper‑intermediate English proficiency.
