Auditor (Management Systems)

About the role

Bureau Veritas, a world leader in testing, inspection and certification, is looking for a qualified Auditor to join its team in Iraq. The Auditor carries out management system audits in line with ISO 19011, the Bureau Veritas CER Management System and group policies, and delivers audit reports and follow-up records.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct audits according to ISO 19011, CER Management System and group policies, covering audit preparation, execution and reporting.
• Collect, verify and evaluate objective evidence to assess conformity of management systems against audit criteria.
• Document and classify findings, including nonconformities, observations and opportunities for improvement.
• Take part in opening and closing meetings, and act as lead auditor when authorised and competent.
• Communicate audit progress, findings and conclusions clearly to the client and the audit team.
• Prepare complete, accurate audit reports and escalate unresolved issues through defined reporting channels.
• Maintain confidentiality, independence and impartiality, and take part in competence maintenance and knowledge-sharing activities.

Required profile

• Engineering or science graduate with a minimum Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
• At least 4 years of professional experience in large or medium-sized industrial organisations, with hands-on experience in planning, production, QA/QC, maintenance or project management.
• At least 2 years of experience in relevant management system schemes (e.g. QMS, EMS, OHSMS).
• Fluent English and fluent Arabic; Kurdish is not mandatory.
• Auditing experience (first-, second- or third-party) is an advantage.
