About the role
Wood is seeking an Applications Engineer to join its Singapore Business Unit and work on a major on‑shore brownfield project in Basra, Iraq. The role involves delivering automation, control and instrumentation solutions while ensuring safety, quality, schedule and cost compliance on a 28 / 28 rotation.
Key responsibilities
- Develop application software for automation systems.
- Integrate control, historian and HMI platforms.
- Support commissioning activities and system upgrades.
- Perform performance optimisation and diagnostics.
- Manage overall delivery of automation, control and instrumentation scope.
Required profile
- Proven experience as an Applications Engineer in oil & gas or related industrial projects.
- Ability to work onsite in Basra with a 28 / 28 rotation schedule.
- Strong focus on safety, quality, schedule and cost compliance.
- Willingness to travel as required.
