AML Team Member

About the role

The AML Team Member supports the organization’s fight against money laundering and terrorism financing by monitoring transactions, conducting due diligence and investigating suspicious activities. This position works closely with the AML Manager and compliance team to ensure regulatory compliance and protect the company’s reputation.

Key responsibilities

• Review and analyse transactions to identify unusual or suspicious patterns.
• Use AML software to flag high‑risk transactions and generate alerts.
• Perform real‑time and periodic transaction monitoring according to policies and thresholds.
• Conduct Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) for new and existing clients.
• Assess client risk profiles, gather required documentation and maintain accurate records.
• Escalate high‑risk accounts to the AML Manager or senior compliance staff.
• Investigate alerts and prepare Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) with supporting evidence.
• Document findings, actions taken and conclusions for internal review and regulatory filing.
• Stay current with AML regulations, sanctions lists and FATF recommendations.
• Research emerging AML threats and suggest procedural improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Law, Criminal Justice or a related field.
• 1‑3 years of experience in AML, compliance, fraud investigation or a similar area.
• Familiarity with AML regulations, procedures and transaction‑monitoring software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AML software tools.
• Competence in Microsoft Office applications.
