Aircraft Mechanic II (Electrician) – CH‑47 – Iraq

About the role

The Aircraft Mechanic II (Electrician) for the CH‑47 performs avionics and electrical maintenance, modifications, and repairs on Army helicopters deployed in Iraq. The role ensures that all aircraft systems operate safely and reliably while adhering to established safety procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Remove, bench‑check, repair, adjust, and install serviceable components on CH‑47 aircraft.
• Conduct operational checks and functional tests on electronic fuel quantity, fuel, engine, utility, communications, and navigation systems.
• Use special test equipment and hand/power tools to locate and isolate defective units and wiring.
• Interpret and apply avionics and electrical drawings, technical orders, and logistics information systems.
• Lead and prioritize workload for complex aircraft tasks and provide technical guidance to junior mechanics.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; U.S. military technical school or specialized training is preferred.
• Five years of recent aircraft maintenance experience, including at least two years on CH‑47 or three years rotary‑wing experience with CH‑47 exposure.
• Valid U.S. passport with six blank pages and at least two years before expiration.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (NAC‑I T1) and a Kuwait visa.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to meet CENTCOM physical requirements.
