Aircraft Mechanic II (Electrician) – CH-47 – Iraq

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Mechanic II (Electrician) to perform avionics and electrical maintenance on CH‑47 helicopters deployed in Iraq. The role involves ensuring aircraft systems operate safely and reliably through inspections, repairs, and modifications.

Key responsibilities

• Perform avionics and electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on CH‑47 helicopters.
• Remove, bench‑check, repair, adjust, and install serviceable components and conduct operational checks.
• Modify, inspect, and repair electronic fuel quantity indicating systems, engine and utility indicating systems, communications and navigation equipment.
• Use specialized test equipment, hand and power tools, torque wrenches, dial indicators, and micrometers to locate and isolate faults.
• Read and interpret avionics and electrical drawings and technical publications.
• Lead and prioritize workload for complex aircraft tasks and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
• Perform additional qualified duties as required.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; US military technical school or specialized training preferred.
• Five (5) years recent aircraft maintenance experience.
• Either an A&P license with 2 years aviation maintenance and 2 years CH‑47 experience, or 3 years aviation maintenance, 3 years rotary‑wing experience and 2 years CH‑47 experience.
• Valid US passport (minimum 6 blank pages, at least 2 years before expiration).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance (NAC‑I T1) and US citizenship.
• Pass CENTCOM MOD physicals and obtain a Kuwait visa.
