Accounting Officer

About the role

CERIC-ERIC is looking for an experienced Accounting Officer to join the finance team. Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, you will ensure accurate financial records, compliance with regulations, and support the implementation of new accounting software.

Key responsibilities

• Support the rollout of the Zucchetti "Ad Hoc" (Ad Hoc revolution web) accounting system.
• Maintain detailed financial records, reconcile general ledgers and bank statements.
• Prepare management financial statements and tax reports.
• Ensure compliance with local, provincial and national regulations, including Italian fiscal rules.
• Assist with cash‑flow forecasting and budget updates.
• Handle financial reporting for funded and internal projects according to agency policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Italian fiscal regulations.
• Proficiency in English (minimum B2 level), both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Zucchetti Ad Hoc (Ad Hoc revolution web) accounting software.
• Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

• 12‑month fixed‑term contract with possible extension.
