University Lecturer (Full‑time, Baghdad)

About the role

The University of Al‑Qadisiyah seeks a full‑time University Lecturer to deliver high‑quality teaching and engage in scholarly activities for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lectures, seminars and tutorials in the assigned discipline.
• Design assessments, grade student work and hold regular office hours.
• Provide academic advising, mentorship and support for a diverse student body.
• Participate in research, publications, curriculum development and departmental committees.

Required profile

• Relevant postgraduate qualification (Master’s or PhD) in the subject discipline.
• Demonstrated teaching experience in higher education, including course planning and assessment design.
• Strong research record with publications in academic journals and conference participation.
• Effective communication and academic writing skills in English and/or Arabic.
• Organisational and time‑management abilities to balance teaching, research and service duties.

Required skills

• Proficiency with learning management systems.
• Experience using digital content creation tools.
• Ability to operate basic classroom IT equipment.
