LV/MV Unit Technician – Operations & Maintenance

About the role

Wood is seeking an experienced LV/MV Unit Technician to join its Singapore Business Unit’s operations in Basra, Iraq. The role focuses on delivering operation and maintenance (O&M) services for low‑voltage and medium‑voltage equipment during the operational phase of oil‑and‑gas projects.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance tasks on LV/MV equipment in accordance with customer procedures and HSE plans.
• Execute corrective maintenance to resolve equipment failures or deviations from normal operation.
• Follow detailed work instructions, maintenance plans, and safety requirements while ensuring warranty compliance.
• Document maintenance activities, report findings, and support continuous improvement of maintenance processes.
• Travel as required to support project sites and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in LV/MV unit maintenance within the oil‑and‑gas or energy sector.
• Strong understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance methodologies.
• Ability to work onsite in a challenging environment and adhere to strict HSE standards.
• Good communication skills to interact with clients and internal teams.
