Lead Process Engineer

About the role

The Lead Process Engineer will oversee day‑to‑day plant optimisation, identifying vulnerabilities and opportunities to support production forecasts and increase IPC. You will ensure robust monitoring routines, drive incident investigations and champion continuous improvement across the site.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor plant performance daily and act on any deviations.
• Identify and prioritise production vulnerabilities and optimisation opportunities.
• Lead investigations for process safety incidents, production losses and quality issues using techniques such as the 5 Whys.
• Coordinate and participate in Continuous Improvement projects, promoting CI philosophy among site teams.
• Maintain plant monitoring routines and ensure the system remains fit for purpose.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in the oil & gas industry, preferably with an IOC.
• Technical degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Previous experience in asset or operations engineering roles.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and coaching abilities.
• Proactive mindset with a results‑driven approach.

Required skills

• Chemical Engineering expertise.
• Experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Change Management application knowledge.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
